We provide an in store alterations department to make your dress fit you to perfection. Adding a jacket to a strapless gown, changing the sleeve length or style, making a zippered dress into a lace up back, or changing the neckline to your idea of beautiful, are just a few the alterations our experienced staff can make for you. Most hemlines can easily be shortened. Consider whether you will be wearing a poofy petticoat or high heeled shoes. These are two variables that can shorten your gown without hemming.
Altering the wedding gown with modifications of up to 2 sizes larger or smaller, is extremely common. Our most common alteration is taking up the shoulders to accommodate the shorter waist or higher bust line of different women.
Usually lengthening a gown can only be done by adding extra fabric in the form of a ribbon or ruffle look. If your finding hemlines that are too short, you may want to consider making a special order for an extra long gown. Please allow approximately 16 weeks for special orders. Changes for a special order vary between manufacturers. But expect $50-$100 for extra length.
